Galilee College of Dental Sciences
About
The Galilee Medical Center established the Galilee College of Dental Sciences to provide the highest standards of dental care to the community, while utilizing leading academic resources in Israel and around the world. Its goal is to provide a nurturing environment for dentists today and in the future, through updated and evolving curricula centered on professional and quality care, based on active academics and research.
The Galilee College has three specialization programs recognized by the Israel Dental Association Scientific Council: oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine, and pediatric dentistry (pedodontics). In addition to the specialization programs, there are five one-year advanced education programs (AEP) for dentists in orthodontics, endodontics and microscopy, minor soft and hard tissue surgery, prosthodontics and an enrichment program in pediatric dentistry.
During their training, dentists benefit from a unique curriculum and practice at Galilee Medical Center’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine Institute. They undergo a year-long clinical and theoretical course, during which, under the supervision of senior specialists, they diagnose and treat cases of varying degrees of complexity. The dentists may also experience and participate in clinical research in all areas of dentistry.
At the Bone Research and Tissue Engineering Laboratory at Galilee Medical Center’s Research Institute, affiliated with the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine Bar Ilan University, M.Sc. and Ph.D. students conduct basic and advanced research. In addition, one of the most advanced three-dimensional (3D) printing laboratory for clinical application and academic research is located at the facility.
Through its innovative curriculum, fully equipped center, and modern clinical facilities, alongside outstanding academic support, dentists build up a skillset that positions them to thrive and excel in their field of work, in private clinics and the community.
