Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Head of Residency: Prof. Samer Srouji DMD Ph.D
The oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) residency is a five (5) year program, including three and a half (3 1/2) years in the OMFS Department and one and a half (1 1/2) years in a variety of clinical rotations.
The residency combines in-depth and extensive clinical practice with rigorous theoretical education and require passing internship exams.
The residency includes treatment of fractures and bruises in trauma patients, resection of tumors and reconstruction in oncology patients, correction of cranio-facial and jaw deformities, surgical treatment of salivary gland and temporomandibular joint disorders, as well as participation in a variety of dentoalveolar surgeries.
Oral Medicine
Head of Residency: Dr. Yigal Granot DMD
The oral medicine residency is three and a half (3 1/2) years long, including two and a half years (2 1/2) years in the Oral Medicine Department and one (1) year in a variety of clinical rotations.
The residency combines in-depth and extensive clinical practice with rigorous theoretical education and requires passing the internship exams.
The residency includes dental treatment in medically compromised patients with complex medical backgrounds, diagnosis and treatment of salivary gland disorders, temporomandibular
joint disorders and a variety of lesions and manifestations of systemic diseases in the oral cavity.
Pediatric dentistry (Pedodontics)
Head of Residency: Dr. Mervat Khoury Absawi DMD
The specialization in pediatric dentistry is three and a half years (3 1/2), which includes two (2) years in the Oral Pedodontics Department and one (1) year in a variety of clinical rotations.
The residency combines in-depth and extensive clinical practice with rigorous theoretical education and requires passing the internship exams.
The residency includes dental care for children with special needs/dental anxiety, and dental treatment with sedative drugs and general anesthesia.
